Vivi Bayliss
Always An Artist - Week 43
I'm still going!

We shared How To Be A Romantic with an audience for the first time!
We've been rehearsing at the wonderful Our Lady of Hal Church in Camden, who have been the most generous hosts. Therefore, we felt it was only right that our first public dress rehearsal was for the community there.
It's always nerve-wracking showing people what you've made, and especially when the show is an experiment with a new genre. I personally can't ever guess how it might be received. However, it's a little easier when the first audience are friends of the company and want them to do well.
The feedback was really positive, and lots of people appreciated the classical music in a casual setting, and the word "relatable" came up a fair few times. To me, this is a huge win because it's so rare to hear people describe opera as relatable - even though it absolutely can be! It just goes to show that the key is in the delivery.
Now that we've had our "test" run, I'm even more excited to share the show in Voila Festival. If this has sparked your interest, tickets are available here: https://www.questors.org.uk/event.aspx?id=1448
Questors Theatre, 17th and 18th November at 7pm.
