Always An Artist - Week 45
How could I make a show about books in the 2020s without ACOTAR?

It's been a bitty week in terms of creative activities. In the run-up to my show opening (tomorrow, come along!), I've been heavily involved in social media promo. I always enjoy a bit of marketing because I can flex my creative muscles in a different way. I'm thinking about grid design, trending audio, and I even tried a tiktok style video. I think it's safe to say I won't be taking over the digital world any time soon, but I also would never have tried those ideas without a show to promote.

I also had a trip to London for the read through of my new chamber opera. My work has never been described as provocative, but I got an interesting range of reactions to this piece. I welcome all feedback as part of the process, and I'm grateful to anyone who takes the time to engage with my work. My job now is to sift through the responses and work out the next steps.
