How To Be A Romantic

Rosa is trying to understand how to love, and whether it is even possible to have a great love like those in books. Modern dating has destroyed her faith in romance, and it’s time for a reset. She looks everywhere for answers, from Shakespeare to Austen to Meg Cabot. Taking inspiration from her favourite literary heroines, she ponders and pines, prompting the audience to reflect on the very nature of love in our world.

“How To Be Romantic” is a ‘jukebox opera,’ weaving together some of the most beloved music from the operatic canon to tell a new story for our times. Created and directed by Vivi Bayliss and sung by Valerie Wong, join us for a magical evening and fall in love with love itself.
